EW.com , Katee Sackoff reveals that earth will be discovered by the fleeing colonials - way early in the season.  She then qualifies the statement by claiming she didn't know if she was allowed to reveal this plot point; she reckoned that she might get sued, fired or killed - again. Why not?  the writers have already killed the show, why not Kill Kara in every other episode of this closing season?

Michael Hogan, in a rare interview, revealed  his disbelief in Saul Tigh being named as one of the final 5 cylons:

Michael Hogan, who plays Tigh in "Battlestar Galactica," told reporters at SciFi Channel's digital press tour Tuesday that if it were up to him, Tigh would not have been revealed as one of the Final Five Cylons in the third season finale. "I'm not happy about being a Cylon at all," Hogan told reporters at the event. "I'm not imagining that anyone who were picked to be Cylons are. The scripts that we have so far are great, but the only way that I can deal with it is as a human being, and so far that's [what my character] has had to do."

Well, Michael, you are not alone - the rest of the fandom cannot fathom this revelation of your character either.

At the recent Polaris 21 convention, Katee Sackhoff describes the reactions from the crew and her fellow actors as the news of Starbuck's demise was made public.  She recounted how some members of the crew started looking for a new gig as they were all well aware of the consequences of killing off a main cast member on a TV series - CANCELLATION.

Seems that they were precisely correct in their assessment of this show.

Season 4 is right on track to devolve into a bad re-imagining of  Galactica 1980.

BSG - Razor

Prequels can be a very scary thing - *cough* Star Wars *cough* - a thing to be kept far, far away from any writer or director.

BSG's own prequel entitled "Razor" is set to hit the American airwaves this September.  The story arc investigates the back story of the Battlestar Pegusus following through to Lee Adama's first mission as commander of Pegasus.  Based on the tidbits released during the Pegasus-Galactica arc in Season 2, the history of the Pegasus is dark and brutal. Of course it would be, as every liberal knows the military is just a band of terrorizing thugs when not under the control of civilian leadership.

But I digress.

Of all the material that the BSG storyline has to offer, this is the least interesting aspect of this series. It seems the writers and producers have chosen to stay in familiar pastures instead of breaking new ground.  Additionally, this story arc will coincide with a rehashing of the creepy Lee/Dee relationship.  Ron Moore simply does not want to let go of this carcass of a failed story line.

 Possible Season 4 Spoiler

The poster notes that he/she/it was asked to remove it by an unamed source.

IF there is any truth to this video, then Season 4 is shaping up to be a re-imagining of Galactica 1980.

Kiss BSG Goodbye:

"This show was always meant to have a beginning, a middle and finally, an end. Over the course of the last year, the story and the characters have been moving strongly toward that end and we've decided to listen to those internal voices and conclude the show on our own terms," Eick and Moore said in the statement. "And while we know our fans will be saddened to know the end is coming, they should brace themselves for a wild ride getting there –- we're going out with a bang ."

More like a re-imagining of Galactica 1980, perhaps?

Maybe if Moore and Eick didn't disrupt the chemistry between the central characters and focused on writing a compelling story instead of using the show to score political points their 'internal voices' may have green lighted the series for several more years.

I hate being right all the time...but season 3 and Ron Moore's ego destroyed this series.

Apache Pilot Video

A YouTube video put together the good guys/girls serving in Iraq.

For the more liberally-impaired, that would be the US, Iraqi and Coalition forces.

Hat Tip: Guidons

FYI:  Apache pilots are the real world equivalent to BSG Viper Pilots.
